Generic Surgical Sciences Examination
The College has increased its capacity to deliver the Generic Surgical Science Examination (GSSE), offering the examination to both Trainees and prevocational doctors.
The GSSE tests candidates' knowledge in anatomy, pathology and physiology to a high standard. See the GSSE syllabus for further details.
All specialty training require the successful completion of the GSSE as a mandatory eligibility requirement for the SET selection process. Potential candidates are advised to contact the relevant specialty training board/society to ensure they are aware of the requirements.
There is now a tile available through the JDocs ePortfolio thank links to the GSSE recommended reading list. The list has links to what the online library holds that is accessible to JDocs subscribers.
